Background
Unicommerce announced on Thursday that it is expanding its partnership with Urban Company’s West Asia arm to cover the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The at-home services platform will use Unicommerce’s flagship system, Uniware, to manage inventory and fulfilment across its West Asia operations.
Unicommerce, an AI-powered e-commerce enablement platform, said in an exchange filing that the system will track inventory in real time and route orders for service kits and consumables to service professionals across the region.
The platform offers localised features built for the region, including Arabic-compatible invoices and shipping labels, tax compliance tailored to local rules, and integrations with regional ecosystem players in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The expanded partnership builds on an existing relationship between the two companies in India. Unicommerce said the move will help Urban Company create a more connected operations backbone as it grows across some of the region’s fastest-growing digital markets.
Urban Company runs services ranging from beauty and wellness to home cleaning and appliance maintenance, all of which rely on a coordinated supply chain of products, tools and consumables.
Unicommerce said Uniware will act as the central platform powering that supply chain, improving stock accuracy, speeding up product replenishment and coordinating fulfilment across locations.
The partnership adds to Unicommerce’s expanding footprint in West Asia, where it has built ties with regional marketplaces, logistics providers, ERP systems and payment platforms.
Kapil Makhija, Managing Director and CEO of Unicommerce, said the company’s focus is helping businesses automate complex backend operations so they can concentrate on delivering strong customer experiences.
