Background

Bahrain Bourse has forged a strategic alliance with IDX, an international company specializing in websites for corporate and investor relations, in an effort to enhance the online investor relations function of listed companies.

This move is designed to assist listed firms in achieving greater levels of transparency and disclosure of information to investors. Bahrain Bourse said the collaboration supports its efforts to enhance market attractiveness and build greater investor confidence through better digital engagement.

Under the partnership, IDX will help listed companies improve their investor relations websites in line with international best practices. The company will support the dissemination of key information, including corporate strategy, governance, sustainability initiatives, financial performance and the company’s investment story.

As part of the programme, IDX will conduct a market-wide review of investor relations websites across Bahrain Bourse-listed companies. Participating companies will receive practical recommendations to improve digital communication, accessibility, and the overall investor experience.

The collaboration will also include educational workshops and engagement sessions to help listed companies understand changing investor expectations and the growing importance of digital platforms in attracting investment.

Bahrain Bourse said stronger digital investor relations have become increasingly important as investors rely more on online information to evaluate companies. The initiative is expected to help listed businesses align their digital communications with global standards.

IDX currently manages nearly 4,000 corporate and investor relations websites for listed companies across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.

The partnership is also expected to back up upcoming efforts, like digital disclosure, better access for investors, and even the use of artificial intelligence when it comes to how investor communications are delivered.
