Background
Logistics arm of Al Khayyat Investments (AKI), named AKI Logistics, has signed a three-year contract with NMC Group Services in order to provide all types of warehousing and logistics services for their UAE operation. This partnership is expected to improve supply chain efficiency and also facilitate the delivery of healthcare to patients.
Under the agreement, AKI Logistics will manage the storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical consumables from its dedicated facility in Dubai Investments Park. The company will support deliveries to more than 80 NMC healthcare facilities across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Al Ain.
AKI said the partnership will strengthen the resilience and scalability of the UAE’s healthcare supply chain while improving operational efficiency. NMC said the collaboration will enable faster replenishment cycles, greater flexibility in delivery models and better stock availability, helping ensure uninterrupted patient care across its network.
The deal builds on AKI’s ongoing investment in logistics infrastructure. Last year, the company opened its Fulfilment and Innovation Centre in Dubai, expanding its fulfilment capacity in the UAE to more than 1.5 million units per day. The one-million-square-foot facility also includes space for future expansion and currently serves over 30,000 business customers.
For over four decades in the United Arab Emirates, AKI has been offering integrated logistics solutions in diverse fields such as health care, retail, consumer products, manufacturing, and automotive.
