Start-ups at Dubai’s top entrepreneurship incubator, in5, have raised more than AED 9 billion since the program began, showing Dubai’s growing position as a global hub for innovation. This marks a 14% increase in total funding compared to October 2024, highlighting in5’s important role in supporting new businesses.

The announcement was made during the 10th edition of Expand North Star 2025, the world’s largest event connecting start-ups and investors, held at Dubai Harbor from 12-15 October. Majed Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President at TECOM Group PJSC, noted, “Reaching the AED 9 billion mark demonstrates the significant impact of in5’s start-ups on the innovation economy. Each success story contributes to shaping a brighter global future from Dubai, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’.”

Since its launch in 2013, in5 has nurtured over 1,100 start-ups, offering support across four sector-specific verticals: technology, media, design, and science. The incubator’s specialized centers include in5 Tech at Dubai Internet City, in5 Media at Dubai Production City, in5 Design at Dubai Design District, and in5 Science, in collaboration with Dubai Science Park, which focuses on science-driven ventures.

At Expand North Star 2025, in5 highlighted start-ups such as Bellboy, which improves hospitality services; Gainz, connecting investors with financing opportunities; and MyGatePass, which streamlines visitor management through UAE Pass.

The most recent in5 success stories are Halo, which has raised AED 22m; Wittify, which has raised AED 5.5m in initial financing, and Armoir, which has raised AED 1.8m to expand into the high-end luggage market.

The in5 Investor Hub offers start-ups mentorship and advice, business funding, and is geared towards the Dubai vision of having a strong entrepreneurial culture.

In5 continues to be a major component of TECOM Group towards ensuring the economic development and innovation of Dubai, contributing to the success of the business district of the city.
